Welcome to Ladle and Grain, Cottage Kitchen! I’m Dianna, and this space reflects my passion for simple, comforting food made from scratch with a homestyle touch. My culinary journey began early, growing up in a large family where I often cooked meals for everyone. Those childhood experiences sparked a lifelong love of food and the joy of bringing people together around the table.
At 17, I stepped into my first restaurant kitchen, and for over 15+ years, I worked my way through the industry. From cooking on the line to managing kitchens and developing new menu items, I’ve had the chance to lead teams and create dishes that make people feel at home. Now, I’m excited to share those years of experience with you.
In my cozy kitchen, I’m inspired by the beauty of fresh ingredients and the simple pleasures of rustic cooking. From homemade biscuits to rich stews simmering on the stove, I believe in the power of food made by hand, with care. Whether it’s a loaf of bread pulled fresh from the oven or a hearty dinner to feed your family, my goal is to bring that warm, homegrown feel into every dish I create.
Food photography is a passion of mine, and I love capturing the vibrant colors and textures of my creations. Each dish tells a story, and through my lens, I aim to showcase the beauty of homemade cooking. I enjoy experimenting with natural light and angles to create inviting scenes that reflect the warmth and love in every meal.
Alongside photography, I find joy in developing new recipes. Whether I’m adding a unique twist to a classic dish or experimenting with seasonal ingredients, my goal is to inspire others to get into the kitchen and try new flavors.
Alongside the blog, I also run a small cottage bakery, where I craft and ship handmade baked goods to those who love the taste of fresh, homemade treats. It’s another way I get to share my passion for baking and connect with my community.
If you’re looking to bring a bit of that comforting, rustic charm into your kitchen, I’d love to share my recipes with you. Be sure to sign up for my newsletter to stay updated on my latest recipes, and follow me on Instagram to see what’s baking in my kitchen next!
